This pilot project offers

technical assistance to Tribes and Tribal language programs to work on a language planning and development area

of the Tribe’s choice.

Specifically, it will offer technical assistance on a needs assessment and a written “next steps” plan. The Cultural Resource Funding (CRF) will also provide a grant of up to $10,000 for the Tribe or program to implement the plan.

"This grant is one of many the Comanche Language Planning & Development Team will pursue. The CLPG was assisted by the Grants Department Director, Shannon Nagel who was instrumental in winning this grant." said Carolyn Codopony, co-facilitator of the new Language Planning and Development Department.
